Savvy Wine Food Debuts Gourmet Nuts for Wine Pairing

NAPA, Calif. - Savvy Wine Food, Napa Valley's leading source for food and wine pairing, today announced that its gourmet nuts for wine, the same irresistible nuts enjoyed by thousands of visitors to Napa Valley wineries, are now for sale at Vallergas Markets in Napa, and at Sunshine Foods Market in St. Helena, as well as at St. Helena's Farmers Market, located in Crane Park just south of downtown St. Helena, California.

"It’s been a successful commercial debut of Savvy Wine Food’s gourmet nuts for wine,” says Erika Heinemann, chef owner of Savvy Wine Food. “I am very pleased that both the "Seasoned Almonds for Red Wine" and "Seasoned Nuts for White Wine" have been so well received."

Savvy Wine Food's gourmet nuts for wine were created to be eaten with your favorite red and white wines, and they’re also a delicious, healthy snack for kids as well as adults anytime…anywhere. That’s because no wine is ever used when preparing these gourmet nuts. Savvy customers will also enjoy all of the health benefits commonly found in nuts.

These nuts are totally insane

By eating nuts, in fact, you can reduce your risk of heart disease from 40 to 50%, and can lower bad cholesterol (LDL) while raising good cholesterol (HDL), according to published reports from the Nutrition Department at Harvard's School of Public Health, Penn State University, and the FDA. Nuts can also help prevent adult-onset diabetes and metabolic syndrome. For men, eating nuts five times a week can significantly lessen your chance of gallstones.

"It’s a great feeling when a customer approaches my stand at farmers market and says, ‘I had these nuts at a friend’s house this past week, and they’re absolutely wonderful. I would love some for myself.’ A charming gentleman from Texas also called them ‘totally insane.’ I couldn’t be more pleased with how well they’re selling and by how many different people are enjoying them.

"I am also very appreciative of all the support from the staff managing St. Helena's Farmers Market. Lassa Skinner [assistant manager to the market and manager of Napa Chef's Market] and Ed Harris [market manager] have been a delight to work with, and the market is a wonderful experience for merchants and customers alike."
